1972 Spyder Special

Spyder Special
Tottenham, 1972

This 23-inch 1972 Spyder Special turned up in a garage in 2024, boxed and stored, apparently unused since new. It belonged to Charles ('Charlie') Harding, a dealer with branches in So. California, Cork, and Dublin. It features dark blue enamel on the main tubes, with gold trim. Note the pencil chain stays, typical of Denny's work up to the mid 1970s. It also features a type-3 head badge, and an elegant tang running down the seat stays from the binder bolt boss.
