There is great joy in building up a bicycle from scratch, starting with a bare frame, assembling tools and components, and putting it all together. The current owner has kindly supplied the photos for this page, showing the process.
The frame is a 1973 Swallow (Italia), finished in blue flam with red flam headtube, Six-Day transfer set, half-chrome stays and fork blades.
Components are NOS Campag Nuovo Record group set, Alpe Dhuez Brooks Pro saddle, Stronglight headset, Cinelli bar and stem, Fiamme rims with Veloflex tubular tires.
