The Hetchins Weekend, 2026
The 34th run of this event was held the third w/e of July 2026. Sixteen riders took part; some familiar long-time friends joined us for lunch but did not ride. A wide spread of bespoke bicycles turned out, both vintage and modern classic, ranging from two bikes from the 1930s, to one brand new 2026 Hetchins on its maiden tour a week back from the paint shop. In addition to Hetchins, there were two Carpenters, a Flying Gate tandem, a W.J. Hood Palace Special, a Roy Cottingham, and a Bob Jackson. Some impressions below. Mouse-over for captions. |
