In 1994 Hetchins issued a special edition of the MO to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the patent on the curly stays. It featured even more tangs than the MO deluxe, plus special paint, transfers, and chroming. An initial run of 15 were produced, 12 of which are in the U.S. The first one was ordered by Robt. Oakham and appeared in a Playboy magazine feature. The model was referred to as the Magnum Opus Oakham by the U.S. distributor, World Class Cycles. The fotos below show Robt. Oakham's frame. Since the initial production run, a several more 'late anniversaries' have been produced. |
