One of the last Magnum Bonums made. Alf retired two years later in 1986 and sold the shop. After that, the Mag. Bonum was replaced by the Scorpion Bonum model. Mag. Bonums were part of the regular catalog offerings in the 1950s and 60s, but appear to have been made only as special orders in the later years.
The geometry of the frame is gentle with a long wheelbase, ideal for touring. Seat tube height: 22 inches (c-to-c); top tube length: 22-1/2; bracket height: 9-1/2. The color is dazzling blue flam with silver trim; resprayed by Argos in 2023.
The groupset is mostly Dura Ace with VO crankset, Cinelli handle bar and stem. It was originally fitted with 27" wheels on Mavic hubs; it is now fitted with 622 mm wheels on Dura Ace hubs.
