This late 1950s Mag.Bonum is in pretty nearly original condition, both paint and components (excepting tires, of course). It shows only moderate wear for its years and is something of a time capsule for how a bike would have been equipped when new.
The color scheme is black with chrome ends & headlugs. Note the dt transfer with fade-to-gold lettering; later dt transfers had a hard line between the red and the gold.
The components include BSA (Birmingham Small Arms) chainset [some in the UK regarded them as superior to Chater-Lea], Brooks saddle, Simplex mech, Bayliss Wiley bb, Lyotard pedals, GB Coureur brakes, Bayliss-Wiley Airlite large-flange hub. [Thanks to Peter Underwood for help identifying the components. --Ed.]
