The present owner sends the following:
I took the bike down to the Southend shop in 1984, showed Alf the bike and the serial no. He produced a little book and looked up the number and described the model as a 1967 Magnum Bonum Special, because of the Bonum lugs on the frame and the Opus lugs on the forks. The drillings were done by the previous owner. Apart from replacing the Campag brakes, all the equipment excluding replacement brakes, rims and spokes, is as it was purchased in 1978.
