This Experto Crede was ordered as a special frame with the build card dated 8th December 1964. It emerged as number H4140 in deep bronze lustre with chrome ends and 72/73 angles. The frame has vertical dropouts, Campagnolo hanger, and sloping fork crown. It was delivered to Carter and Hall of Portsmouth on 8th January 1965 for a trade price of £15.7.6d and a full price of £21.0.0d.
It was raced in the 1960s and in the hands of one of its owners was featured on the front cover and in the report in Cycling (issue of 4th March 1967) of the Avon Valley kermesse. The frame was renovated by Les Rigden of Brighton in the 1990s but lightly used until the present owner purchased it (via this site) in May 2008 and completed the re-assembly.
The components include TA crank set, Campag mechs and seat pin, Brooks saddle, Cinelli bar and stem, Universal brakes, bar end shifters.
