This 24" Experto was first sold 23.3.1950, price 15 pounds ten pence. The Mk I Experto was soon replaced by Mk II version. It is not certain exactly when the Mk I was replaced, but going by survival rate (this is one of only about half a dozen known to be extant), it must have been very soon after.
The current owner had it resprayed by Mercian in deep purple.
The components include Chater Lea crankset; Mafac brakes and levers; Campag lo-flange hubs & Gran Sport mech; Brooks saddle; Blumels mud guards.
